Your Life in 2012 continues.........................

Hi everyone

How is everyone going with documenting the first month of 2012.

I myself have been taking photos nearly everyday using the Project Life iPhone App which actually reminds you to take the photo and is free. I haven't actually scrapped anything but I am hoping to do that in the coming weeks.

My sister has been taking some great photos and has been using the We R Memory Keepers multi pack pages to document what has been happening in January.

My friend Mandy last year did a beautiful monthly album where she scrapped a 12 x 12 layout with her favourite picture for the month and also used the 6x4 page protectors for her photos and journalling. Here are some of her pages that I snapped today at the crop.

If you are taking photos everyday or think you might start here is a guide that I have lifted from fat mum slim's website http://www.fatmumslim.com.au/.

So basically on February 1 you could take a photo of your view or on the 15th February take a photo of a phone.

These are just a few ideas of what you can do to document your Life in 2012.

Week 2 begins

Good morning everyone


How are we going documenting and photographing 2012 and has anyone done last weeks sketch. I am just about to put my photos on my paper which is pretty good for me.

So this week's sketch to help us with ideas for our layouts comes again from Page Maps. I think most of the sketches will be for multi photo layouts to help put one week's photos on one page. This is just a suggestion don't forget. I thought this one was so cute!!!!!!!!!!.

So upload a copy of your sketch results into the divas gallery and win yourself $10 Diva Dollars by Sunday 15th January midnight. We must have at least 4 entries for the Diva Dollars to be given.

I also found this blog by Monica McNeill http://withoutfilters.blogspot.com/2012/01/project-life-2012-beginning.html, which gives you ideas on how to set up your album for the year.

I am actually using some of the digital elements from Becky Higgins Project Life kits which I have purchased from Jessica Sprague and then print as many out as you need. I am also using the Simple Stories Year-O-Graphy kit which can be purchased in store. They probably won't match but I don't care as long as I get it documented.

Ok tips for what to photograph:-

As we are in summer mode in Australia anything to do with this would be great to start off with.
The beach, the lake, taking the boat out, the kids swimming in the pool or at the beach, picnics, your backyard in summertime, a sunset, I am sure you can come up with heaps of other ideas.

Welcome to 2012 at Scrapbook Divas.

Hope everyone has recovered from their New Years Eve celebrations or for those of you like me started work at 9am this morning.

I thought I would kick off 2012 with something a little different that I haven't done before or been involved with.

Its the Divas version of Project Life, A photo a day, yearly album whatever you would like to call it.

The idea is basically to document 2012 in photos and stories, whether that be daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly so that our future generations will be able to see what life was like in 2012. It is about documenting the little things, the simple things that happen in our daily lives. As well as all the big things.

So what I hope to do this year is try and document my own story for my family. I know I won't be able to do it daily but will try and do something weekly.

So what I thought I would do is every fortnight on a Sunday I will be posting a theme and some tips on how to document this theme and I am hoping to be able to also have a special guest giving us tips on how to photograph this theme as well.

I will also be posting a sketch either weekly or fortnightly to help with your scrapbooking.

I will be having Guest Designers through the year and their will be prizes for the sketch winners.

Last night I posted a giveaway to kick the year off. A beautiful We R Memory Keepers Album and page protectors valued at $69.99.
